Whenever I'm craving tofu soup and don't want to drive too far, this is my go-to place! The service is always so friendly and welcoming and the place always feels calm. Their tofu soup is yummy and comes with white rice, I usually order with galbi but didn't this time because I wasn't super hungry. Another thing I always order is the croquettes, they are crunchy on the outside and super warm and soft on the inside - I really enjoy the texture difference and it tastes really good too. I've tried other menu items in the past and remember thinking fondly of them so I'd definitely recommend this place if you're nearby and want a hearty meal on a cold or hot day!
This is my all time favorite Korean restaurant in this area. It is family owned. Service is always so amazing. They are quick and very friendly! Constantly refilling our bonchons when we were done eating without asking. Chill environment. Seemed a bit busy, by the amount of people in there but couldn't tell with the speedy service! Starts with 9 bonchons!!. Kimchi, cucumbers, fish cake, Brussels sprouts, potato salads, broccoli, and more. Refilled like 3x probably. We got seafood pancake. Which is dense and yummy. Wish there was more seafood and less green onions though. Tofu soup. Lots of flavor. And nice and hot. Good for this cold rainy day. Hot stone bibimbap. This is my favorite here. Lots of flavor to the meat and toppings. And the rice is really crunchy. Love that part!
Definitely found a hidden gem!!! Came here after a night of our friend big wedding ! Haha ! We needed some soup for recovery and oh boy ! This place was sooooo good !! They made everything fresh !!!! Service was amazing and honestly, I recommend come early because it does gets packed. Nice spot to have lunch or dinner with friends or family's !
Recently got take out naengmyeon from JP Seoul Tofu House and it did not disappoint! It has been so hot in the east bay so we were craving some refreshing cold noodles. We ordered both mul naengmyeon and bibim naengmyeon. I ordered the combo with the mul naengmyeon and got the galbi. With the takeout, they gave a lot of refreshing banchan all which made for great leftovers in a homemade bibimbap! The mul naengmyeon came with a sweet cold broth and chewy noodles. There was also a side of a mustard/vinegar mixture that was packed with so much flavor and a little goes a long way! The bibim naengmyeon was also so delicious! The spicy sauce it came in was sweet and not too spicy. The noodles are the same and very chewy. The galbi could have been marinated a bit longer. I probably would not get this again, but maybe I will try the bulgogi next time.
